Michelle Elsner represents clients across the media and entertainment industries, with an emphasis on representing clients in literary publishing, theater, executive employment, licensing and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining the firm, Michelle was Associate Principal Counsel at Disney Streaming and spent five years as an intellectual property associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP advising clients, including artists, writers, producers, directors, fashion executives, 501(c)(3) organizations and private companies, on intellectual property, technology and data privacy matters in corporate transactions. Michelle’s literary practice includes counseling authors, literary agents, publishing executives, independent publishing companies and others in the publishing industry on the development and exploitation of literary properties across all different media.
